Writing is what I love doing best, and has been ever since I was a kid. I remember following my grandmother around in her bungalow, reading out my overly detailed screen play which was essentially five sides of A4 dedicated to someone doing a food shop. I remember sitting at our big old computer, painstakingly typing out the first Harry Potter book because I wanted to “rewrite” the story by giving the characters different names.
Thankfully, my skillset has improved a lot since then. I gained my BA(Hons) in Creative Writing with Law at Kingston University (one of only two students studying that combination thank you very much), and started freelancing as soon as I left. I absolutely loved my job…I worked with clients all across the world, and learned about topics I probably would never have crossed paths with. Canadian real estate, industrial equipment, and pest control to name a few. But when my first child came along, I put my career on hold to grow and raise my family.
Now for some random, unrequested facts about me…
I take oat milk in my tea, but no sugar – I’m sweet enough
I am a Hufflepuff. Yes I still love Harry Potter; that love will never die
The seaside is my happy place. When things get tough, there’s nothing that grounds me more than sitting on the beach, listening to the waves and drinking in the sea air
